"AOMORI STAY Akari" combines the charm of a building over 50 years old with modern comforts.
The texture of the old wood and the transom panels were refinished and reused.
While preserving the history of the building, we incorporated wallpaper in subdued tones, diatomaceous earth-plastered walls, and charred cedar exterior siding to create a modern Japanese-style space.
Artworks by Masaharu Suzuki are displayed throughout the facility. It is a unique place to stay in the heart of Aomori, where traditional Japanese aesthetics and art blend harmoniously.
